Dear dancing friends,
In my recent posts on FAR (feminismandreligion.com) I have been writing about Greek Easter customs and women's ritual dance traditions which interweave Christian and pre-Christian beliefs. In yesterday’s article I begin to share the story of how, over the past thirty years, I came to discover these dances and their potential as tools for healing and transformation. As August 6 is the memorial day commemorating the bombing of Hiroshima, I feel it is ever more essential that we in the human family embrace again the ancient values of cooperation, compassion, and connection which these dances deeply embody. I invite you to join me today and every day in choosing to live from this place of peace, and to work towards a future of partnership, mutual support and understanding.

It is an excerpt from a longer essay which was recently published in She Rises! Vol. 2: How Goddess Feminism, Activism, and Spirituality? (Mago Books 2016, available from www.magobooks.com)
With love & blessings in the dance,
Laura
